It's been a while since I've stopped by ... work and Real Life tend to get in the way. A few months ago I started playing around with Corel Painter 11 and have thoroughly enjoyed myself, so I'm slowly working on what I call my Digital Doodles. I'm a complete beginner but having loads of fun. It won't replace my itch for having pencil in hand and paper to scribble on, but it's quite remarkable what can be done on both Painter and Photoshop ... and I love the erase tool!

Please do honestly critique my work if you wish to as I can't improve as an artist in any way without feedback, so all comments are always welcome. Cheers!

Well, I obviously tried to tackle far too much last month ... I had tons of extra work and  my shipping arrived from Australia, etc, I ended up sacrificing my daily walk with the dogs, stopped eating healthily, stressed out completely -- and as a result my defences went down and I ended up being taken by ambulance for an emergency operation as I was attacked pretty viciously by an extremely happy internal bacterial infection. I still have to keep my feet up for another couple of weeks but at least I finally found the energy to start drawing again!

Thank you to everyone who has left me lovely comments and apologies for not getting around to replying and thanking youpersonally ... I shall slowly catch up with everything and everyone. Meanwhile, stay in good health. Cheers!

Yes, I'm finally finally settling down into a new home in France. After over a year's worth of chaos and moving homes four times, it is a Huge Relief to be able to say that I am staying put in one place now and am happy to be here!

I can get back into a good routine (well, one hopes ...) and into drawing again. The countryside is inspiring, the light here is wonderful and I plan to experiment and play with paints at some point soon this year.

I have to say thank you to everyone who has been following my progress and leaving me hugely encouraging and motivational comments. It's been a rough year and so every single one of your words has helped me immensely and I truly appreciate it. I haven't had the time to return too many visits and be inspired in turn by all your amazing art, but now that I at last have more time to do so, expect to see me on your sites soon!

I've been busy, but have managed to visit more sites and am still amazed at the talent here. Hugely inspiring! I've also joined two clubs:

Childrens Illustrator Club


Traditional Art Club


and I hope to be able to contribute regularly though I still feel like a complete amateur next to the amazing artists there.

Still learning how to manage my site while I work on other projects ... trying to set up my own website and as I have NO knowledge of how-to, am trying to get over the confusion and learn as I go along! That's ok, I love the learning experience
